Halloween crafts : Easy pumpkin craft with egg cartons
It’s that time of the year when, spooky things become fun and scary things become sassy ! You know what I’m talking about – It’s Halloween.
To kick start our countdown we are starting with a simple Halloween craft with pumpkins. [See our other fun Halloween crafts where we made paper roll Jack-O-Lanterns and created art with candies. Don’t forget the engaging Halloween Sensory Bin we made for the toddler.]
This pumpkin craft is perfect for an afternoon of relaxing fun . It’s not very time consuming yet has all the bells and whistles for a crafts -loving preschooler. Cutting, gluing, coloring and generally crafting.

This pumpkin crafts is so simple that you don’t need instructions. In case here is what we did.
Draw a pumpkin on an orange construction paper or a foam sheet.
Cut out a moustache using black/brown construction paper
Egg carton is our friend here. We are going to use all the parts of an egg carton in this pumpkin craft.
The following picture should help. We used egg carton bottoms for the eyes and the holes for mask. The rest of the carton to be used for cutting out noses and mouths.
Pumpkin 1 : Mr. Grumpy Moustache – The Super Villain
PUMPKIN 2: Sandy – The Super Hero

My craft loving daughter was in heaven during this pumpkin craft session. With access to so much glue, scissors and markers I made her day! I’m seeing great development in her fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
